Dr. Daniel Kelly is passionate about helping patients overcome complex visual challenges and improve the way they function in everyday life. Inspired by his mother, an optometrist, he grew up seeing the life-changing impact compassionate eye care can have on patients and their families.
His interest in neuroscience, sports performance, and visual rehabilitation, combined with his own vision challenges, led him to specialize in neuro-optometric rehabilitation and functional vision care. Watching his mother help military service members recover from traumatic brain injuries further shaped his passion for restoring visual function and independence.
Since entering practice in 2016, Dr. Kelly has focused on caring for patients recovering from concussion, traumatic brain injury, and stroke, as well as children and adults with binocular vision disorders, focusing problems, eye teaming difficulties, and vision-related learning challenges. He also has a special interest in myopia management, helping children protect their vision as they grow.
Dr. Kelly's expertise extends to sports vision, where he helps athletes improve visual processing, tracking, reaction time, and eye-hand coordination to enhance performance on and off the field.
In addition to his specialty services, Dr. Kelly provides comprehensive medical eye care for dry eye disease, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and age-related macular degeneration. He works closely with neurologists, therapists, educators, and primary care providers to deliver coordinated care for patients with complex visual needs.
Dr. Kelly remains active in organizations including the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA) and the Optometric Vision Development & Rehabilitation Association (OVDRA). He also enjoys educating fellow healthcare professionals through lectures and workshops on neuro-optometric rehabilitation and myopia management.
Whether helping a student succeed in the classroom, supporting recovery after a brain injury, or improving an athlete's visual performance, Dr. Kelly is committed to helping every patient function more confidently and live life to the fullest.
