Dr. Daniel Kelly earned his Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. He completed his training at the Daytona Beach VA Outpatient Clinic, The Eye Center and multiple inner-city health clinics in Memphis, and Cool Springs Eye Care in Franklin, TN. Current affiliations include the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians, American Optometric Association, Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association, and College of Optometrist in Vision Development.
Daniel is trained in primary care optometry, contact lenses, and ocular disease. He specializes in behavioral optometry and neuro-optometric rehabilitation for patients with vision-related learning issues, amblyopia, strabismus, strokes, and mild traumatic brain injuries. He enjoys providing eye care for all ages and has specific interests in dry eye treatment, myopia management, and vision-related learning disorders. Dr. Kelly is certified in myopia management techniques including MiSight and Corneal Refractive Therapy.
Daniel grew up in Hendersonville, TN. He received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Indiana University where he also played collegiate soccer. He resides in East Nashville with his wife Kara, two cats named Yogi and Ollie, and black golden doodle named Cocoa. In his free time he enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing soccer and golf, food obsessed, coaching soccer, watching all sports, being at the beach, and cheering on the Hoosiers.
