Dr. Heather Quintanilla is a lifelong resident of Middle Tennessee. She grew up in Winchester, TN and completed her associate degree in 2016 at Motlow State Community College. She graduated Sum Cum Laude and was part of the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society. Dr. Quintanilla went on to graduate Sum Cum Laude from Middle Tennessee State University with her bachelor’s in biology in 2018.
Dr. Quintanilla graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern College of Optometry with a Doctor of Optometry degree in May 2023. During her studies, she developed a special interest in pediatric vision care, vision therapy, ocular disease management, primary eye care, and utilization of technology in eye care. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honors Society and was the receipt of the Southeast VT Forum Scholarship in memory of Dr. Sam Horner Jr. for excellence in pediatrics and vision therapy.
With her compassionate nature, Dr. Quintanilla is committed to providing patient centered care that is tailored to each patient’s specific needs and preferences. She plans to become an active member in Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians, College of Optometrists in Vision Development, American Optometric Association, and to provide InfantSee services. In her free time, Dr. Quintanilla enjoys traveling, going to concerts, and spending time with her eight nieces and nephews.
